Fishing for Lake Ontario King (Chinook) Salmon

The large, hard-fighting "King" Salmon is a favorite among Lake Ontario Anglers. In the Spring, King Salmon fishing is generally stronger in the western end of Lake Ontario. And that's where you'll find Fishchopper Charters, fishing out of Olcott, NY. As the end of summer nears, King Salmon fishing is stronger toward the eastern end, as they begin to stage for for their fall spawning run up the Lake's many tributaries. Not coincidentally, that's that why you'll find Fishchopper Charters fishing out of Mexico, NY.

King Salmon like cold water. Often the ideal temperature is 100 feet down in water that is many times deeper. Fishchopper Charters has the experience and the equipment to get you to the right location and the right depth to land your big King.
